Another Card from Nature's Harvest
I have really enjoyed using this stamp set. The creative possibilites are endless.
For this card I created a background using blending brushes. These blending brushes are easy to use, and the colours blend easily.
For the middle layer I used the cork paper ( shown below) is part of the suite. You get two 12"x 12" sheet.
I used my Stampin' Up trimmer to cut a piece for my card.
For the focal point of the card I used Stampin'Up's Rectangle Die set. The die I used measures 2 1/4"x 3 1/2".
Place your die on a sheet of white paper and tack it down with removable tape. You want to make sure the rectangle will not move while you are using the blending brushes or sponges to lay down your colours.
I used the following stamp pads, Balmy Blue, Mango Melody, and Pumpkin Pie.
I started with Pumpkin Pie at the bottom and worked my way up. Blended in the next two colours till I was happy with the colouring.
Here is a tip for not getting a big blob of colour on your working piece. Start the colouring on the paper you tacked your rectangle on. It is difficult to remove colour once you lay it down.
Stamp the large flower with Early Expresso ink as shown.
To make the card you will need the following pieces of card stock.
Early Expresso measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4" for the base.
Pumpkin Pie measuring 4" x 5 1/4" for the first layer.
A piece of cork speciality paper measuring 3 3/4" x 5" for the second layer.
Very Vanilla measuring 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" for the third layer.
Very Vanilla measuring 4"x 5 1/4" for the inside of the card.
I used the sentiment from the set.
