Moveable/spinner card tutorial

Hello fellow stampers and friends!

One of the things I have been exploring the last couple of months is what I call motion or spinner cards.  In this video tutorial I show you some of the cards I have designed and created.  I show how to make a card that could be used for Mothers day or really any occasion for a female. I will tell you that your head will be spinning with ideas after you watch this video and I hope you will share with me what you create!  I can't help but smile when I look at these cards.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Virtual HUGS! using our Ornate Garden Suite to make a Frameable 5 x 7 and a greeting card

Hello fellow stampers and friends!

If you're like me, I'm really missing hugging my friends and family during this time of isolation!  I have been making cards and mailing them out to let my loved ones and friends know that I miss them and can't wait to get together once again when it is safe to do so.  In the meantime, I decided to create a HUG card and frameable 5 x 7.

I chose to use the stamps and dies from one of our new sets coming out with the 2020 Annual catalog next month(june).  I hope you will enjoy the video and can be inspired to make some of your own.
As always, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

The mystery of the Shadow Box - a tutorial

Hello fellow stampers!

One of the non-card projects that I enjoy making throughout the year is a shadow box background.  There are lots of ways to accomplish it and so in my tutorial I will show you the way I do it.  Personally I like the 9" X 9" shadow box because it doesn't take up a lot of space, can sit on a shelf, desk or  hang if you prefer.  I usually purchase them from Michaels, and it seems there is always a coupon or sale going on.

The theme of this tutorial is Mothers day, but you can easily adapt the technique to whatever occasion suits you.
Whatever you do, don't stress over making the measurements all equal, just have fun!

One thing I have learned is to allow a little extra space around the edges so your design doesn't get covered up by the edges of the frame. You can glue your design right onto the backing board if you prefer, but I tend to start out with a piece of cardboard about twice as heavy as our SU card stock as my base.  I put my background paper on that with tombow glue and then start building the design.  That will allow you to be able to change out your design depending on the season, etc.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, otherwise have fun and get your creativity on!

Let's make a Beach Bag party favor!

Hello fellow stampers!

I don't know about you, but it's getting to be beach weather here on the NC coast.

The other week after I mailed off Mothers days gifts to our moms, I was looking through our Mini catalog and was inspired by the little bag photo on page 65.  I was thinking about making a little gift to give to some of our neighborhood moms so I went up to my studio and gave it a whirl!  I fell in love!  So of course I decided that I wanted to share the how to with my subscribers.  I think I cover everything pretty well in the video tutorial, but please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
