Dream, Discover, Explore! Let's make a masculine themed note card set with coordinating folder

Hello fellow stampers and friends!

One of the things that I love about life, is that we don't have to stop learning.  I am so very grateful that I still am able to challenge myself to do more, to do it better (when I can) and above all just enjoy the journey.  This week has been no exception, maybe a few more challenges than I would like, but I kept plugging away until I figured it out.  What am I talking about?  Well, if you've watched any of my Face Book Live videos, you've probably noticed that I am definitely an amateur at this video making gig.  I am having fun with it, but I'm still working out the kinks of what really works best, proper lighting, less movement, less "um" and figuring out how to actually see viewers comments while filming.  I haven't lost my humor and I am really enjoying the sharing part.  So enough about my troubles, let's get to it!

I really had a fun time creating this weeks project.  I spend hours and hours on pinterest pinning things that interest me, recipes, design, craft projects, and of course lots of inspiration card projects.  I came across a folder that holds note cards, and one of the things I  make quite a few of is note cards.  Stampin up has an awesome blank set of 20 cards and 20 envelopes in whisper white or very vanilla.  I keep them in stock in my studio at all times. If you haven't used them check it out.
So I was inspired by this project to make it my own and give it a masculine look and feel.  I love the new catalog and have been playing with some of the things I was able to purchase in a pre-order.  The "World of Good" Memories and more (50 piece) card set is featured in this project.  You can of course use any designer series paper and cardstock of your choice, just follow the cutting and assembly instructions.  Thank you for reading my blog.  If you like what you see, I encourage you to follow me on instagram and facebook at RiverViewCreativeStudio and subscribe to my youtube channel.  My webpage is http://riverviewcreativestudio.com.

A Paper Pumpkin Alternative for May!

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW thumb 3a1c

Hello fellow stampers and friends!

It's been raining for a few days now, so when my monthly Paper Pumpkin kit arrived in the mail the other day,  I was so happy to get it.  This months kit features the new IN COLORS so it was especially nice to get to play with them.

I love paper pumpkin and I often do not make all of the cards/projects included in the kit because I like to save them to introduce new folks to Stamping and of course, Paper Pumpkin.   But this month I completed the full kit, and made 12 cards!   They are all 'alternative' meaning that I did not create any of the card designs featured in the kit.

In this blog I will share individual photos of the cards I created and also a video where I am discussing how they were made and my thoughts behind it.

Let's talk about Paper Pumpkin!

Hello fellow stampers and friends!

I created this video a couple of months ago, but I think it gives a good overview and is still relevant, even though the kit is from a prior month.  Paper Pumpkin is an all inclusive monthly kit that you can subscribe to monthly or other durations and also give as a gift.  It's a great way to get started with paper crafting because it comes with everything needed to compete the projects.  If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
