Hello fellow stampers and friends~
Welcome to June! Those of us in the LGBTQ community and friends celebrate our history officially during the month of June. During this month we remember the struggle ,those we have lost to violence, the AIDS epidemic, and celebrate the freedoms we have today. Actually I decided to start making cards because I found it is very difficult to find cards commercially that are specific to same sex couples, especially in our small town. So as a guy who makes cards, I decided to create some and share them on my blog.
Do you happen to know what the colors of the Rainbow flag represent? Today there are six colors, but the original flag had eight. Over time due to availability of fabric colors, it was reduced to six. Red for life, orange for healing, yellow for sunlight, green for nature, blue for harmony and purple for spirit. I love learning something new, hope you do as well. So thanks for staying with me . Now let's get to it!
The cards are not difficult to make and if you don't have all the specific colors, just use what you have. Actually I was able to find all the papers in my scrap bin (accept the card base of course).
The card base colors I used are: Blushing Bride, Mango Melody, Balmy Blue and Melon Mambo. But use whatever you have and suits you best.
I used elements from "Make A Difference" stamp set, "Timeless Tropical" stamp set, the "Tropics dies" and "Coastal Weave" embossing folder. I stamped all of the palm trees on Whisper White Card stock and did my best to crowd them all in on the card front using quite a few dimensionals. On the actual video I only show how to make the one card, but If you want to make one of the other cards, I'd be happy to send instructions to you, just drop me a message.
In the space below I will post photos of the card templates and finished cards. The video will provide a tutorial to make the one card. Happy Stamping!
